2. COMMITMENT TO YOUR PRIVACY
GlocalPanel is a professional online research company, which adheres to PMRG guidelines in protecting respondent confidentiality along with ESOMAR (European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research) and BHBIA codes of conduct.
The collection and reporting of information you provide will be maintained with a high standard of professional conduct. All personal data you submit for market research purposes is pooled together and strictly remains confidential and anonymous unless explicitly stated in the survey. GlocalPanel will respect your privacy at all times and the confidentiality of your answers will be maintained as described in this Policy and Terms of Service. Your name, address, telephone number, personal data and individual responses will only be used as described in this Policy.
3. WHO IS COLLECTING INFORMATION AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE?
GlocalPanel collects valuable information, which assists in developing new products and services. When you are on a GlocalPanel site and are asked for personal data, you are sharing that information with GlocalPanel alone, unless it is specifically stated otherwise.
You acknowledge and accept that GlocalPanel may pass your personal data to any third-party company which assists GlocalPanel in managing the Honorarium Program (see our [Terms of Service]) available to its members or in otherwise providing our services to you, such as Amazon Pay, PayPal, Mail Chimp and Vertical Response. For the avoidance of doubt, such information may include your name and address and all other information necessary to enable these honorary providers or any other third party to administer our Honoraria Program properly.
4. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
a. At registration
When you register to use our Website, App, or Platform, we collect personal information (also referred to as personally identifiable information or 'PII' ) which may include your name, address, gender, birth date, education details, online contact information such as your email address or username, phone number, fax number, employer and professional details such as title, specialty, association, membership or affiliation, employer name, employer type, qualifications, number of patients seen and participation in clinical trials, and other personal information. The information collected will be stored on our servers in an anonymized, encrypted, and aggregated form. You will be given a unique identification code for all future communications with us. You can change your personal information via email by contacting us at privacy@glocalmind.com or through your profile or account settings on our Website, App, or Platform.
b. Geolocation and Equipment Information
We may collect information that does not personally identify you such as (i) your geolocation, and (ii)information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Website, App, or Platform, and usage details. This information is stored on our servers in an aggregated and anonymized form.
c. Financial Information
We may ask you to provide some financial information in order to allow you to be compensated for participating in Studies (see our [Terms of Service] ). If you choose to withdraw these amounts, we will need to collect information from you in order to process these transactions. Where such Studies are offered by third parties, we will also need to collect information about your participation in such Studies from those third parties, in order to validate payments. We may also need to send the information set out in this section to trusted third parties that we appoint to process and administer such payments.
GlocalPanel does not collect personal health information about individuals. GlocalPanel does not collect or maintain information that would associate a submission with a specific patient. So please ensure that You do not disclose anything that would allow a patient to be identified. Note also that GlocalPanel does not possess a data-based key to re-identify patient data.
5. HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION?

- 1. To facilitate the creation and authentication of your personal profile, identify you as a user on our Platform, and allocate a unique identification code to you;
- 2. To verify that you are a medical professional and to protect the integrity of the GlocalPanel by preventing fraud.
- 3. To help us improve our Website and the studies and panels;
- 4. To improve the quality and relevance of your experience in interacting with our Website and with the studies and panels;
- 5. To improve our customer service;
- 6. To respond to your customer service inquiries;
- 7. To match you with appropriate, relevant studies and panels;
- 8. To provide you with information, or services requested from us;
- 9. To provide you with notices about account and/or subscription, including expiration and renewal notices;
- 10. To administer contests, promotions, and surveys or other Website, App, and Platform features;
- 11. To notify you about changes to our Website, App, and Platform and any products or services
- 12. To anonymize data and aggregate data for statistics;
- 13. To respond to legal or regulatory inquiries as we believe to be required by applicable laws, regulations, or administrative authorities;

a. Vendors and other authorized third parties
We may share your information in an aggregated/anonymized form with vendors and other authorized third parties that provide us with services to assist us in serving you, including:
- 1. Website hosting provider, located in the United States of America, Germany, India
- 2. Vendors that assist in facilitating the studies and panels, located in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and APAC countries.
To the extent required by law, we will collect your explicit consent prior to providing any personally identifiable information.
b. Clients and Partners
We may share your information with our clients, and with partners who supplement our capabilities, in aggregated/anonymized form, unless you give us your consent to share personal information specific to you with our clients or partners, with each such consent only applying to the specific study for which you gave consent to such sharing.
c. Legal or regulatory requirements
We may share your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:

Investigate, prevent, or otherwise respond to illegal activities, suspected fraud, violations of our Terms, or as otherwise required to comply with relevant laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests (including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements) or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us

10. PERSONAL PROFILE
Once a registered GlocalPanel member, you are invited to provide additional information in your personal and professional profile describing your credentials, professional experiences, academic background, biography, etc.
Your GlocalPanel profile is only available for viewing by you. You may edit your profile at any time by using your e-mail and password to log in to your personal member pages.
Providing additional information in your personal profile beyond what is required at registration is entirely optional and can be altered or removed by you at any time. Providing further information will enable GlocalPanel to better match panelists to available studies and panels and therefore it is advised to keep your profile up to date at all times, to maximize your opportunity to be matched with appropriate available studies and panels.
11. HOW DO WE PROTECT INFORMATION WE COLLECT?
Our Website and App receive regular security scans and penetration tests. Our Website and App also receive regular malware scans. In addition, our Website and App use an SSL certificate as an added security measure. We require username and passwords for our employees who can access your personal information that we store and/or process on our Platform and servers. In addition, we actively prevent third parties from getting access to your personal information that we store and/or process on our Platform and servers. We will implement reasonable security measures every time you (a) enter, submit, or access your information, (b) register, or (c) access our Platform, on our Website and App.
12. DATA SECURITY MEASURES.
- a.Security Measures:
We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. The safety and security of your information also depend on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Website, App, or Platform, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Website, App, or Platform. - b. Fair Information Practice Principles:
In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify you within 72 hours via (i) email and/or (ii) our Platform notification system on our Website. We agree to the individual redress principle, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or a government agency to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

- 3. We may disclose aggregated, de-personalized personal information to Partners. We require all Partners to whom we disclose your personal information to be under contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and to use it only for the purposes for which we disclose to them.

We may disclose aggregated, de-personalized personal information to third parties to market their products and services to you if you have either consented to or not opted out of these disclosures. - 1. We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer personal information to others unless we provide you with advance notice. This does not include our hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our Website, App, or Platform, conducting our business or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
- 2. We do not provide personally identifiable visitor information for marketing purposes.
d. Choices Users Have About How GlocalPanel Uses and Discloses Information.
- 1. Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse some or all the browser cookies, but if you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of our Website may not be accessible or function properly.
- 2. Disclosure of Users Information for Third-Party Advertising. Users can opt out by (i) checking the relevant form when we collect the data; (ii) logging into the Website, App, or Platform and adjusting their preferences in their account profile by checking or unchecking the relevant boxes, (iv) emailing us their opt-out request at privacy@glocalmind.com. Users receiving the promotional email can unsubscribe using the link in the email or specify the frequency at which they will receive such promotional email distributions.
14. FOR OUR EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS AND VISITORS
- a. We are headquartered in the United States of America and most of the operations are located in India. If you are located in the European Union, please take note that the information we collect from you will not be transferred to and processed outside the European Union.
- b. If you are a resident of or a visitor to Europe, you have certain rights with respect to the processing of your Personal Data, (referred to here as Personal Information), as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ('GDPR').
- c. Please note that in some circumstances, we may not be able to fully comply with your request, or we may ask you to provide us with additional information in connection with your request, which may be Personal Information, for example, if we need to verify your identity or the nature of your request.
- d. In such situations, however, we will still respond to let you know of our decision.
As used herein, 'Personal Information’ means any information that identifies you as an individual, such as name, address, email address, IP address, phone number, business address, business title, business email address, company, etc.
- e. GDPR Compliance Commitment.
- i. We agree to fully comply with the letter and the spirit of the GDPR.
- ii. We hereby notify you that we will be processing personal data, as defined in the GDPR (i.e., those individuals who are authorized to access our Platform and to use our Services) in the EU itself.

- iv. If we cannot satisfy any request or dispute to your satisfaction, we agree to arbitrate or litigate the dispute in the EU jurisdiction in which you reside.

- vi. Only our employees who have a need to access your Personal Data to enable us to meet our contractual and legal obligations, will be given access to your Data. Such employees have a Username and Password to access your Data. We keep an automated record of all persons who have accessed your Personal Data.
- vii. GlocalPanel will take appropriate measures to comply with the GDPR when transferring personal data to a third country. Where the third country is not covered by an adequacy decision, we will use Standard Contractual Clauses as a mechanism to provide sufficient safeguards on data protection when transferring personal data to a non-EU controller or processor.

- iv. Erasure: You can request that we erase some or all of your Personal Information from our systems.

- vi. Portability: You have the right to ask for a copy of your Personal Information in a machine-readable format. You can also request that we transmit the data to another entity where technically feasible.

15. FOR OUR CANADIAN USERS
This Section supplements the information contained in our Privacy Policy above and applies solely to all Panellists and other visitors to our Website, App, or Platform, who reside in Canada ('consumers' or 'you'). We ensure that the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Document Act of 2000 ('PIPEDA') and any terms defined in the PIPEDA have the same meaning when used in this Section.
- a. Definition of Personal Information. Any information about an identifiable individual. Whatever may be the physical form or characteristics of a particular regime for "business contact information" (name, position, title, address, professional phone number, etc.)
- b. Right to Access Personal Information. You can request to access your personal information we hold about you. We will first confirm whether you have requested such information, explain how we have used your information, provide a list of names with whom your information has been shared and provide a copy of your information in an accessible format and make alternative formats available if requested.
- c. Right to Correction/Limited Right to Deletion. You can request us to correct or delete your information IF you demonstrate that the personal information we hold on you is inaccurate. We will delete or correct your information within thirty (30) calendar days. When we delete/correct your personal information we will inform the third parties with whom we have shared your information.
- d. Right to be Forgotten. Your information will be kept with us for as long as it is required for the fulfilment of the purposes of GlocalPanel platform. Unless we otherwise give you notice, we will retain your Information on the GlocalPanel Platform on your behalf until such times as you or we terminate your User Account.
- e. Data Breach Notification. We will send a notification to you as soon as feasible regarding the information of any breach that creates a "real risk of significant harm" to you. We keep a record of every data breach and, on request, provide the Office of the Privacy Commissioner with access to the record.
- f. Canadian Privacy Officer. We have appointed a Canadian Privacy and Data Protection Officer, Prithvi R. who may be reached at privacy@glocalmind.com to make sure the privacy rights of our Canadian users are protected in compliance with PIPEDA.
- g. Contact Information. Additionally, in order for us to respond to your request or query, we will need to collect information from the requesting party to verify their identity.
16. US STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS
This Section describes how to exercise your rights under the various state privacy laws as detailed below (“State Privacy Laws”).
- 1. California: GlocalPanel does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside third parties your "Personal Information" as the term is defined under the California Civil Code Section § 1798.82(h). If you are a California resident and have an established business relationship with us, you can request a notice disclosing the categories of personal information we have shared with third parties, for the third parties' direct marketing purposes. Note that fulfillment of the request may not ensure complete or comprehensive removal (e.g. if the content or information has been reposted by another user). - 2. Massachusetts: The Massachusetts Data Protection Law (201 CMR 17.00), sets standards for the protection of personal information of residents of Massachusetts. Residents of Massachusetts have the following rights under Massachusetts law (i) the right to request access to their personal information that is held by us and to receive a copy of that information; (ii) the right to request the correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal information; (iii) the right to request that we delete your personal information; (iv) the right to opt-out of the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information for marketing purposes; (v) the right to be notified in the event of a data breach involving their personal information; and (vi); the right to Opt-in for collection, use or disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information. Further, you have the right to file a complaint with the Massachusetts attorney general if you believe we have violated the Massachusetts Data Protection Law by calling (617) 727-8400 or filing a complaint at https://www.mass.gov/how-to/file-a-consumer-complaint.
- 3. Colorado: The Colorado Privacy Act (Colo. Rev. Stat. § 6-1-1301 et seq.) protects the privacy of Colorado consumers. This state privacy law however does not apply to us as we do not meet its applicability thresholds. If at any time in the future, we do meet this state privacy law’s applicability thresholds, we will update you this privacy policy, notifying you of your rights under this state privacy law.
- 4. Connecticut: GlocalPanel does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside third parties your “Personal Data” as the term is defined under Connecticut’s Privacy Act and Act Concerning Personal Data Privacy and Online Monitoring, without your express consent. Connecticut Laws permits residents of Connecticut who are Users of our Website, App, or Platform that are Connecticut residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of their Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. This state’s privacy laws however does not apply to us as we do not meet its applicability thresholds. If at any time in the future, we do meet this state privacy law’s applicability thresholds, we will update you this privacy policy, notifying you of your rights under this state privacy law.
- 5. Utah: On March 24, 2022, Utah enacted the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA § 13-61-102(1)) which will go into effect on December 31, 2023. This state privacy law however does not apply to us as we do not meet its applicability thresholds. If at any time in the future, we do meet this state privacy law’s applicability thresholds, we will update you this privacy policy, notifying you of your rights under this state privacy law.
